For my Heroes!

This is for two of my heroes, T&T! You inspire me and make me a better person. I tend not to complain as much throughout the day because I know you're facing your days with such strength and positive attitudes. Thank you for the sacrifice you're making for this country. Many of us can live each day without even thinking about our freedoms being in jeopardy because of you. I thank God for you everyday and am confident in His physical & spiritual protection of you! So, for you, this box contains tons of protection, loads of strength, daily laughter, much adventure, a bit of pride, eternal gratitude, glue for your hearts while a part and bunches of anticipation in being together again!

Gift for the Givers!

This is for all the young parents I know! You give and give and give, and it's an honor to know all of you and watch the blessings you are to the little ones God has entrusted to you! Inside is a bit of fear, lots of love, some frustration, tons of joy, LAUGHTER like crazy, a touch of pride (good kind), and gobs of fulfillment! All together it's PARENTHOOD! I love reading your blogs and find myself laughing, crying and praying for you and with you! You have a bunch of us in your corners, cheering you on... so, keep up the great job you're doing, ALWAYS rely on the Lord through it all and delight in the babies He's loaned you!

Hand's Free!

This is me holding Braden moments after he was born about 8 weeks ago! He's a cuddle-bug and loves to be held, so you can be sure, Sweets is right there to accomodate him! What fun! BUT, today, Randi and I had about an hour with Cason in YCW and Braden asleep on the big bed... and, we actually got to have all hands free to work together & complete an embroidery order & a birthday present, too! Wow! Braden "showered" us as he was getting changed to pick up brother, so life as we know it got right back to "normal". It's great to have the boys and it's great to have a daughter as a best friend!

Healthy dieting?

There are a lot of subjects more worthy of this one, but I'm driven to write regarding current events in my life and this one is current, alright! Today is day one of 10 that is limited to 2 servings of fruit (designated ones) and 5 of veggies (also, designated) only. I actually enjoy most everything that's edible (my primary problem), but I also enjoy the "extras", like salad dressing, butter, salt, breads, meats and desserts! The particular list I'm following has no mention of the "extras" I just mentioned!
Eating is a funny thing... what we eat, why we choose what we do, and events that prompt too much eating, etc. I'm a "social" eater. By that, I mean I have so many great memories of family times around the table with great cooks bringing their "specialties", that I associate food with laughter and fun and being together... we had so many church "pot luck" gatherings, too. All is a part of my make-up, I'm sure.
I'll keep you posted on the next 9 days...

Beginning a Blog

(Pictured: Cason 20 months; Braden 1 week). I've always loved to write. I would have loved blogging as a young woman & mother. Randi, my oldest daughter, talked me into beginning a blog, so here I am! This will be fun for me because I'm in one of the most joyful times of my life with grown children and young grandchildren. In other words... I might have plenty to write about!

Our precious new baby boy- Braden!

My first post will be of Braden Samuel... the newest member of the family. He's a cuddle-bug and welcomed with open arms into our lives.

First blog

Test, test, test...
