Welcome Home, Tyrel!

Welcome home, Tyrel! We can't wait to get the call that your feet are standing on American soil this evening and that you're with your wife at home tonight! We pray God gets you home safely and swiftly tonight! We're so proud of you and thankful you'll be together a while! Welcome home! Welcome home! Welcome home!
(I actually wrote this at 1:00 am on the 10th, but the clock on my computer was wrong... I don't know how to fix the date, but it should read the 10th.)

  1. Tyrel, I am pleased to come in as #3 on this blog to welcome you home! It is with a great amount of good pride that I say, "Job well done!" As the mother of a son who has just recently returned safely from mission in a part of the world that few men would go, I say thank you. I pray that your reunions will be sweet and you feel Lord restoring the hours you have missed in the US. I pray that our Lord sees fit to increase your God given courage, that your wisdom will continue to increase beyond your years and that you will know that men & women with whom you serve would absolutely not known the Lord if you had not said, "Here am I, send me!" You are an amazing man married to an amazing woman...I stand in my chair applauding you both as you return and reunite!

    Tyrel, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!***

    ***Thank you, Sharon for giving me this opportunity!

  2. Hey Sharon,

    I just read a missionary blog and they posted this song that we used to sing long ago. It was relevant then and now, wow, it speaks volumns! How Firm a Foundation:

    How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
    Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
    What more can He say than to you He hath said,
    You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?

    In every condition, in sickness, in health;
    In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
    At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
    As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

    Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
    For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
    I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
    Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

    When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
    The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
    For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
    And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

    When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
    My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
    The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
    Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

    Even down to old age all My people shall prove
    My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
    And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn,
    Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.

    The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
    I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
    That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
    I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.

    Isn't that beautiful? Hope it is a blessing to you today ~ marilyn
